If you’re wondering how you can get IPTV working on any IOS device including iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV then you’re in luck. In the tutorial we’ll show you, step by step, how to set up the GSE IPTV player app with an active IPTV M3U subscription.
The GSE IPTV player app is one of the most popular streaming apps for IPTV. The app itself does not include any channels so you’ll need an active M3u playlist to stream live TV channels and movies. You can find free M3U URL’s online and in forums but also have the choice to purchase paid M3U subscription which may be more reliable.
What makes the GSE app one of the better players for M3U are:
- Allows users to create and manage favorite playlist
- GSE Playlist Manager, allows for users to load multiple m3u playlists.
- Ability to Chromecast. You can be streaming from iPhone or iPad and cast to any TV.
- Record Live TV
- Supports EPG XMLTV (EPG is just the guide for channels with timeline of what’s on next).
Let’s get into the process of actually setting up.
How To Configure GSE SMART IPTV Application
For this tutorial to work you’ll need an active M3U playlist. Next we will need to download the GSE SMART IPTV app (here’s link to app store)
Step 1. Locate and open the App Store on your iPhone/iPad/Apple TV.
Step 2. Next, search for the GSE SMART IPTV app.
Step 3. Select the GSE SMART IPTV app developed by droidvision. The tagline for the app is ‘Advanced IPTV solutions’. Note the app size is 104.5 mb.
Step 4. Once you’ve installed the GSE app, go ahead and open it and allow for Bluetooth connectivity. This way you can cast your screen from iPhone or iPad directly to your TV via google chromecast.
Step 5. Under the remote playlist section you will see Plus sign on the upper right hand side. Press this button. Alternatively you can go into the menu to add your M3U playlist.
Step 6. Here it will ask if you’d like to Add M3U URL, Add Json URL, or add from web interface. Go ahead and select add M3U URL option.
Step 7. For playlist name we can write anything as this is just for reference for loading this particular URL from the playlist manager. The playlist link is the actual URL we’ll need to copy and paste into here.
Step 8. Once entered it should download the playlist. If it does not, go back to the playlist manager menu (see step 5). Here you should see the M3U URL file we just uploaded. Tap it to load the playlist created.
Step 9. You’ll know it’s successfully loaded if you see the different channel groups. You have successfully configure the GSE Player app and ready to start streaming!
Really that’s all there is to it.
The process is the same on all Apple devices so whether you are on iPad, iPhone, or AppleTV you should now be able to start streaming IPTV.
Now, there are many other M3U compatible apps on the market. The GSE player is just one of the most popular apps with over 1,000,000+ downloads.
The good thing about M3U lines for IPTV is they are not restricted to one device. You can download all the different apps on the App store that are M3U compatible and see which works best on the device you’re using.
We’ve covered the tutorial for setting up on the following:
In our opinion, the IPTV Smarters app is much better than GSE player. It automatically categorizes the channel list into different sections like children, sports, news, english. Whereas on GSE Player you can see from step 9 it’s just “all channels group” with 45838 distinct listings. It mixes the movies, shows, with the live tv and international channels. It’s a mess. Yo
