Steps to Wipe a Hard Drive for Mac OS X User

Step 1: Restart the system by pressing ‘Option + Command + R’ together.

Step 2: Select ‘Search’ and type ‘reinstall’.

Step 3: Next, select the ‘Settings’ option along with ‘Remove everything and reinstall Windows’. You would find the option towards the left hand side.

Step 4: Once you view the ‘Do you want to fully clean the drive’ screen, select ‘Just remove my files’ for quick deletion. But, if you want to erase every file, then ‘Fully clean the drive’ option would serve the purpose.

Step 5: Once you are directed to the ‘Ready to reset your PC’ screen, confirm by clicking ‘Reset’.
