There are various reasons why the iPhone gets stuck at the Apple logo screen. It could be because of issues during the iOS upgrade or using a beta version of iOS. Besides, you can expect the problem if the smartphone is not jailbroken properly. Though you might face the scenario rarely, here are some ways on how to fix iPhone stuck on Apple logo.
Three Ways to Fix iPhone Stuck on Apple Logo
1. Reboot the iPhone Forcibly
If your iPhone is running on iOS 7 or the newer versions, then you can restart in by holding the Power button and the Volume down button simultaneously.
But, if you’re using a predecessor, then you have to press the Home button as well as the Power button for some time.
2. Update the iPhone Through the Recovery Mode
The next way is to forcibly update the iPhone using the Recovery Mode. The prime objective is to install the operating system again without disturbing the data stored on the communication device. This approach would usually work. But, you won’t be able to find a solution for the hardware problem or the jailbreak in case the system software update is not successful.
Step 1: Launch iTunes on the system and establish a connection via a USB cord.
Step 2: Enable the recovery mode through the actions mentioned below.
If you have an iPhone 7, then press Power and Volume Down button for a few seconds. Continue the action unless and until you are directed to an alert message that conveys that the Recovery mode is detected.
For models working on older OS versions, press the Power button together with the Home button. Hold and wait till you view a message on the touchscreen.
Step 3: Select ‘Update’ once you see the iTunes screen.
Step 4: In case you fail to update the OS, repeat the steps all over again and select ‘Restore’.
NOTE: When you attempt to restore the system for the second time, data would get deleted and you only have to restore from a backup.
3. Restore the Device Through DFU
The DFU mode is another option to fix iPhone stuck at Apple logo. Remember to take a backup before following the steps. This is because you won’t be able to retrieve data once the iPhone is set through the DFU mode.
Step 1: Open iTunes on your personal computer.
Step 2: Connect the iPhone to the system with the help of iTunes.
Step 3: Switch off the communication device and wait till you see the black screen.
Step 4: Hold the power button for at least 3 seconds. Later, press the Volume down button while you have pressed the power button.
Step 5: Hold both the button for 10 seconds and then release the power button as you continue the volume down button for 5 seconds.
Step 6: Wait till iTunes prompts you with the message,’ iPhone is detected’.
Once done, you would be directed to the DFU mode and you can go about restoring the iPhone.
NOTE: If you are directed to the iTunes / Apple logo, then you should understand that something has gone wrong. You have to repeat the steps all over again.
Step 7: Once you recover the iOS, exit the DFU mode by holding the Power and volume down key till you see the Apple logo. The system will then restart and you can use the device comfortably.
