Step 1

Download Documents 6 app.

The file manager app Documents 6 or Documents is an iPhone application developed by Readdle. To download it on your mobile, you will have to do the following –

  • Open App Store
  • Type the words Documents 6 on the search bar and tap on Search
  • Click on the option Documents by Readdle and tap on GET
  • Finally, enter your Touch ID or Apple ID and password

Step 2

Copy the URL of the YouTube Video

It’s true that the Documents app will not be able to allow you to download YouTube Red movies and music videos.

However, it will surely enable you to download all other kinds of video from the streaming app.

However, to begin downloading, you will first need to copy the address of the video.

Here’s what you need to do to copy the URL:

  • Open YouTube
  • Find a video of your choice
  • Click on the Share option underneath the video
  • Click the option Copy link

Tap on Documents 6 App to Open It

Minimize the YouTube application by tapping on the Home button of your phone. Now, click on the Document 6 icon. It will feature a “D” (done in yellow, green, and black) with a white backdrop.

Open the Web Browser of Documents 6

Once you open the app, you will find a compass icon on your screen’s bottom-right corner. Tap on it to open the web browser. If the browser doesn’t open, swipe the compass icon towards the right side to open the browser.

On the address bar of the web browser type vidpaw.com and click on the blue-colored Go button on your phone.

Paste the URL of the Video

You will find a text box in the middle of the home page of VidPaw. Paste the URL of the YouTube video you are looking to download in that text box.

Tap on Start

You will find a blue Start button underneath VidPaw’s text box. Click on it.

Play the Video

Once you locate the thumbnail and title of the video, tap on it. This will play the video on the Documents 6 app’s video player.

Move the Video onto the Camera Roll of your iPhone
